Last year this was an exciting day for the Kansas City Chiefs because they held the No. 1 spot on the waiver wire. All these young players that are getting released were going to the waiver wire and the Chiefs had first dibs on all of them.
That led to the Chiefs incredible run with their top spot on the waiver wire. These are the seven (SEVEN) players they claimed on this day last year.
Seahawks CB Ron Parker, Seahawks TE Sean McGrath, Seahawks DT Jaye Howard, Browns LB James-Michael Johnson, 49ers CB Marcus Cooper, 49ers WR Chad Hall, Packers LB Dezman Moses.
Some of those players started last year. Some of them will start this year. It was a big day for the organization.
Now for the bad news. The Chiefs are the 23rd spot in the waiver wire this year. They're not going to be claiming seven players. Heck, they may not be able to claim any player. 22 other teams in front of them will have to pass so even if they do claim someone, you'll know that nearly two dozen GMs passed first.
Here are the cuts:

Today instead we'll just have to focus on the Chiefs practice squad, which is coming out at 11 a.m. (Arrowhead Time).
Here is a list of notable NFL roster cuts. Anyone catch your eye?
