Tracking the Kansas City Chiefs roster cuts (Friday)

The Kansas City Chiefs roster currently sits at 75 players. They will cut down to 53 players by 3 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) on Saturday, August 30 as part of the 2014 NFL roster cut downs.

We'll be posting any Chiefs cuts or rumors in this thread. Other teams cuts that might interest the Chiefs will be going here. Keep an eye on the comments here, too.

The Chiefs could start releasing players as soon as this evening or they could choose to wait until Saturday's deadline. They won't necessarily be cutting 22 players; they could be placing some on IR which would open their roster spot. The Chiefs will also be keeping an eye on cuts from around the league, possibly hoping to sign someone if the right player comes along. They sit 23rd on the waiver wire.

On Sunday, the Chiefs will be creating a 10-man practice squad.
