The deadline for 2014 NFL roster cuts is coming on Tuesday when the Kansas City Chiefs have to be down to 75 players. The following Saturday the Chiefs have to be down to 53 players.
Last year, the Chiefs cut players the day after their third preseason game. That would be today on this year's schedule. In a Sunday conference call with reporters, Andy Reid said that the plan was to make some of the cuts today.

"This is Dorsey's area," Reid said. "I think he'll start relatively quick. He'll probably knock out a few today. We'll just see how many he gets done here. That was the initial plan."
Reid said things could change. They have until Tuesday afternoon to make the decisions. Due to injuries and other things, Reid said the third preseason game was good to get some of the younger guys on tape.
"The one positive about this game is we got to play a lot of guys either because of injuries or because the twos and threes got some time in there," Reid said. "We were able to get on film some guys that could potentially be cut today but are bidding for jobs in other cases there."
