SB Nation has partnered with FanDuel, which is a daily and one-week fantasy game. It's like your regular fantasy football leagues in that you pick players to represent your team and they put up points based on their stats. Where it's different is that you're not drafting the players. You're starting with a given amount of money and purchasing the players based on their prices. It's like playing fantasy but with a salary cap and you can win money each week.

As you know, manipulating the salary cap to find the best bargains is a big part of the battle in today's NFL, and the same is true with FanDuel. Because I am a future GM (or something like that), I will give you my thoughts on the values for the Chiefs players in Week 1.

QB: Alex Smith is the 19th most expensive quarterback. Geno Smith and Michael Vick are more expensive than him. The Chiefs will be without Dwayne Bowe but Smith could put up better numbers than the 19th quarterback. If you're not picking up an all world player like Peyton Manning or Drew Brees, Smith isn't a bad option for the price.

RB: Jamaal Charles is the most expensive running back. Duh. He is expensive but he's also probably going to ball out against the Titans. In his last two games against Tennessee, he has over 200 total yards and three touchdowns.

WR: Yeah, just stay away from the Chiefs here. Dwayne Bowe is suspended Week 1. Donnie Avery doesn't give you the most faith either.

TE: Travis Kelce is surrounded by a bunch of nobody's on the list of tight ends on FanDuel. He is a boom or bust type of player because we really don't have know how he'll actually be used in the Chiefs offense. Andy Reid makes a living on 11 personnel, which includes three receivers and one tight end. There are indications the Chiefs will move to more 12 personnel, which is a two tight end set. Also note that Vernon Davis was one of Alex Smith's favorite targets in San Francisco. I really like Kelce for less than the average price of a player.

K: The Chiefs still don't know who their kicker will be. They're probably going to be an average to above average scoring offense.

DEF: The Chiefs are tied for the third most expensive defense, and rightfully so. They could have a big day against Jake Locker and the Titans in Week 1. They had an outstanding turnover ratio last year but turnovers are historically fickle from year to year. Still, I feel confident the Chiefs defense has a very good outing against the Titans.

Editor's Note: SB Nation's partner FanDuel is hosting a $1,000,000 Fantasy Football Contest for Week 1's NFL games. It's only $25 to join and first place wins $100,000. Starts Sunday, September 7th at 1pm ET. Here's the link. FYI: These are just my opinions and Fanduel gave me money to play.
