The Kansas City Chiefs signed quarterback Deon Anthony and cornerback Justin Rogers on Thursday afternoon, releasing defensive lineman Risean Broussard, according to Aaron Wilson of The National Football Post. Anthony, who played quarterback in college for Troy was signed as a wide receiver.
Anthony put up some good numbers at his Pro Day, showing off his athleticism with a 4.44 40-yard dash, 36-inch vertical leap, 10-foot broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds 17.
He did a little bit of everything at Troy, rushing for nearly 500 yards, throwing for five touchdowns and even catching 10 passes.
Rogers was originally drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He was released towards the end of the 2013 season and has made stops with the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins.
