The quarterback market is a funny one to figure out. When it was reported that Alex Smith was looking to be paid like a top tier quarterback, his wife said that wasn't true. Top tier quarterbacks are around $20 million per season. The next level down appears to be the $18 million per season group, which includes Jay Cutler and Tony Romo.
