Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry was voted the 50th best player in the NFL, according to a poll of players via NFL Network. This comes after Derrick Johnson was voted the 64th best player.
Below is a sampling of quotes from players who were featured in Berry's video announcing him as the 50th best player.
Bengals LB Emmanuel Lamur
- He's a playmaker. He makes plays. Being a hybrid as a corner, high safety and sometimes in the box, put him wherever you want and he just makes plays.
Chargers WR Keenan Allen
- He'll make a hit. He doesn't miss too many tackles and he can get out there and cover you one-on-one. Eric Berry shows a lot of greatness.
Raiders RB Darren McFadden
- He's been doing a great job in this league. Coming in as a rookie, he's been doing a great job and he's continued to do that the last couple of years.
Raiders WR Rod Streater
- They that they're a defensive back because they can't catch but this guy is out there catching everything that comes his way. He has great hands.
- I had a fade going across the field. I thought I was wide open. I saw the ball coming and then out of nowhere he just jumped right across then picked it off.
- I would say he is the best safety in the sport right now.
Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin
- Fast, athletic. It's pretty cool he doesn't play with any gloves on. It's kind of like old school. He's one of the top safeties in this league.
- In time, he can go down as one of the greatest safeties to play the game. I think he has that kind of ability.
