Attention Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fans: QB Alex Smith is throwing out the first pitch at the Yankees-Royals game at Kauffman Stadium on Friday, June 6.
A week from today, we'll welcome @KCChiefs QB Alex Smith to throw out the 1st pitch prior to the Royals vs. Yankees game! #RepKC #BeRoyalKC

#Chiefs QB Alex Smith will be throwing out the first pitch at next Friday's @Royals game vs. @Yankees #BeRoyalKC #chiefskingdom

This comes after Chiefs offensive linemen Donald Stephenson and Jeff Allen threw out the first pitch in May.
The bar has been set very, very low for the quality of Alex Smith's first pitch. 50 Cent was in the news last week because of this comically bad first pitch. So it can't be any worse than this, right?
And the follow-up articles:
- NYC police pull 50 Cent over to make fun of his first pitch
- Pictures of 50 Cent's first pitch somehow make it even better
I bet Alex Smith throws the ball well after what happened at his last first pitch attempt. According to tweets at the time, Alex Smith one-hopped the first pitch of Game 1 of the 2012 NLDS. He has to improve on that, right?
Of course!! RT @DylanMacNamara: Alex Smith throws ceremonial first pitch in dirt. Seriously. One hopped it.
