Kansas City Chiefs sign 2 more defensive linemen

The Chiefs continue to churn through options along the defensive line with their latest two signings.

USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs announced two more signings today to the roster with the additions of defensive linemen Jermelle Cudjo and Kona Schwenke.

These signings come on the heels of the signing of journeyman defensive tackle Kyle Love, and provides a few more competitors for rotational spots on the roster. To make these moves, the Chiefs have placed defensive tackle Cory Grissom and linebacker Ridge Wilson on waivers.

Cudjo has been with the St. Louis Rams since the 2010 season when he broke into the NFL as an undrafted free agent. He was a small school star with the University of Central Oklahoma. The 6'2, 304 lb. lineman was released on May 15th by the Rams on the same day they cut running back Daryl Richardson

Schwenke visited the Chiefs this offseason leading up to the NFL Draft. The former Notre Dame defensive tackle also visited with the 49ers. The 6'4, 297 lb. lineman started seven games last year and had 23 tackles and a half sack during his senior season with the Fighting Irish.
