John Dorsey's pre-draft press conference is tentatively scheduled for 12:30 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) this afternoon. We will have full coverage here at Arrowhead Pride so plan on being here then to follow the action. If the Chiefs are streaming Dorsey's presser today, we'll have a link to that stream at 12:30 p.m.
The theme of the press conference is obviously the 2014 NFL Draft. Dorsey has talked some about the draft this offseason but not much. You all know the saying this time of year -- if a GM's lips are moving he's probably lying. I'm not calling Dorsey a liar, just pointing out that he has no reason to give us any details about his draft plans.
Adam Teicher reminded us this morning about what Dorsey said in last year's pre-draft press conference when asked about how much he pays attention to outside folks this time of year.
"Do you know how much I pay attention and listen?" Dorsey said last year, via quotes from the Chiefs. "I haven't turned the radio on, picked up the newspaper or watched TV in terms of football in a month. And I try to block that out so I can get a really true perspective of what's there and what my goal is to do - to try to get the best available players - so I try to block all this out."
Last year, Dorsey probably had an idea who they were going to take because they had the No. 1 pick. This year, they legitimately don't know who will and will not be available.
What questions should we ask Dorsey today? Drop yours in the comments.
