The Chiefs have already signed guard Zach Fulton and tackle Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, both taken in the sixth round, and now they've signed their third rookie in Gaines. For fans who remember the old collective bargaining agreement, this is a nice change of pace to get the rookies in and ready for their upcoming camp on May 24.
Gaines, a 6'0 cornerback from Rice, was the team's third round selection. Terms of Gaines' deal hasn't come in yet (we'll update when it happens), but as Joel noted this morning, it's expected to be a four-year deal for $2,819,912.
