KC Chiefs sign six undrafted free agents after 2014 NFL Draft

The first batch of college free agent signings have officially come in for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kent Horner

We've been tracking reports of the Kansas City Chiefs signing a number of undrafted free agents following the 2014 NFL Draft and now we have our first confirmation by the Chiefs of six UDFA signings.

Here are the first six in:

Tennessee-Martin LB Ben Johnson, 6'1, 234 pounds

BYU S Daniel Sorensen, 6'2, 208 pounds

Louisiana-Lafayette WR Darryl Surgent, 6'0, 185 pounds

Tennessee State CB David Van Dyke, 6'0, 185 ounds

Abilene Christian RB Charcandrick West, 5'10, 205 pounds

Georgia State WR Albert Wilson, 5'9, 200 pounds

All six of these players were listed on our UDFA tracker. Arrowhead Addict has some more info on each player.

Safety and receiver are two position groups to keep an eye on. Those were positions fans thought the Chiefs would upgrade in the draft but didn't. All these positions listed above are positions you often find special teams players, too.

The Chiefs also placed FB Eric Kettani and WR Rashad Ross on waivers today, which effectively means they were cut. The Chiefs current roster stands at 84 players, six short of the 90 player offseason maximum. Unsigned draft picks do count against the roster.

More UDFA signings could come from this list. Any of them on there that catch your eye?
