It was said that KC Chiefs GM John Dorsey and Andy Reid wanted to draft quarterbacks regularly. They drafted their first one since they've been together in Georgia QB Aaron Murray with the 163rd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Many Chiefs fans wanted a quarterback considering their sad, sad history with quarterbacks in the NFL Draft. Some might say this wasn't a big need for the Chiefs but if Murray ends up being a good player, no one will remember the Chiefs had other needs at the time of the pick. He may not make an immediate impact but he has the potential to one day be the most important player drafted by the Chiefs this year.

Aaron Murray's ACL tear was isolated and occurred on the run via non-contact. Relatively benign injury mechanism. Expect a good recovery.
