This is a very offseason post. Something I found interesting that has absolutely no meaning.
The Kansas City Chiefs have a number of players who went to the same college. I was thinking about the best set of college alumni the Chiefs have from one school.
The full list is below and I'm thinking Jamaal Charles and Derrick Johnson out of Texas win this one. They're two of the best players at their respective positions. Utah doesn't come to mind when you think the top football schools (at least not lately) but both Alex Smith and Sean Smith went there. Tennessee and Georgia are repped well, too.
Which set of teammates would you take first?
Tennessee: Eric Berry, Tyler Bray, Dustin Colquitt
Texas: Jamaal Charles, Derrick Johnson
Utah: Alex Smith, Sean Smith
Georgia: Justin Houston, Sanders Commings
California (PA): Rishaw Johnson, Eric Kush
Central Michigan: Eric Fisher, Frank Zombo
Cincinnati: Jeff Linkenbach, Travis Kelce
Houston: Donnie Avery, Thomas Gafford
Illinois: Jeff Allen, AJ Jenknis
Miami: Allen Bailey, Richard Gordon
Missouri: Chase Daniel, Kevin Rutland, Jerrell Jackson
South Carolina: Ryan Succop, Rok Watkins
Florida: Jaye Howard, Frankie Hammond Jr.
