Frank Zombo may soon have a challenger for best name on the Kansas City Chiefs roster. The Chiefs will visit with a cornerback this week by the name of Sammy Seamster, according to Aaron Wilson. That name just feels like a star football player (sorta like Tony Temple did).
Seamster is a 2014 NFL Draft prospect out of Middle Tennessee State. The Chiefs were among the 23 NFL teams to attend their pro day last week.

Seamster stands 6'0 and weighs 198 pounds and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds at his pro day. One report from the pro day said Seamster was running in the high 4.3s leading up to the event, so perhaps he's even faster.
Once again, we point out mixture of size and speed the Chiefs like in their corners. Almost every cornerback they look at is over six feet tall.
Seamster put up 15 reps on the 225-pound bench press and 35 inches on his vertical.
I wonder if he would be a candidate for cornerback, nickelback, safety, or all of them. Seamster said he doesn't know which position teams are leaning towards yet. It's hard to tell sometimes what their plans are with defensive backs, who can play multiple positions.
Gil Brandt has Seamster as 7th round pick or undrafted free agent, which are the types of players the Chiefs seem to be visiting with the most.
