Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

With Jadeveon Clowney off the board, the choice is narrowed down to just two for the Rams at No. 2: WR Sammy Watkins or OT Greg Robinson. The Rams have a unique position in this draft of being able to do pretty much whatever they want, holding 12 picks total with three in the top 45. Looking at what should be available later in terms of wide receiver and safety, the St. Louis Rams select ...

Auburn OT Greg Robinson

The Rams are on their last leg with QB Sam Bradford (pun intended). This will be his last chance at proving he can stay healthy enough to become the franchise quarterback and Greg Robinson will provide Bradford with the added protection he needs while focusing on opening running lanes for young RB Zac Stacy.

Robinson is known better as a run blocker and figures to start his career at right tackle with Jake Long holding down the LT position barring setbacks in his recovery from knee surgery. The one knock on Robinson is that he sometimes struggles in pass protection, though he usually makes up for it with his athleticism. The start on the right side will allow him to develop his pass pro while being the force that will open up the run game.
