The post-playing career of Trent Green continues. The former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has accepted a job with CBS for their NFL coverage, according to a CBS Sports press release.
In addition, Green will contribute across multiple CBS Sports platforms including CBS Sports Network's show, NFL MONDAY QB, and Sunday pregame show, THAT OTHER PREGAME SHOW (TOPS). Green's broadcast partner will be announced at a later date.
"Trent's experience and knowledge of the game, success as an NFL studio analyst and radio broadcaster, combined with his contemporary take on today's NFL, make him a perfect fit to an already deep roster," said McManus. "We are excited for Trent to join the CBS Sports family."
Green has done the Chiefs preseason broadcasts with Paul Burmeister. He was also once part of Fox and NFL Network's football coverage.
This is turning into quite the career for Green, who last played with the St. Louis Rams in 2008. Some of the NFL's top analysts have been in the role for years and years so Trent could be in front of the TV for a long time.
