We have a must read story from Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star, which includes thoughts from KC Chiefs GM John Dorsey on the team's impending free agents. Go read the piece now.
Dorsey didn't definitively say they were or weren't bringing anyone in particular back, so no early Geoff Schwartz / Jon Asamoah decision from him.
A few things that stood out to me:
- Dorsey said that Tyson Jackson needs to step up as a pass rusher. We all know that but interesting to hear him say that. Jackson said recently that he was talking with the Chiefs. No other clues beyond that.
- Dorsey used the word "wonderful" in describing various parts of Dexter McCluster, Tyson Jackson and Kendrick Lewis's game. That's his word, I guess. I've been stuck on "terrific" lately. Everyone is just terrific.
- Terez writes that it "seems unlikely" the Chiefs will bring back Schwartz or Asamoah. Damn.
Go read it. Free agency!
