We've been doing this for a while. You've been reading us for a while. You know how it goes when a player like Eagles WR Jason Avant is released. Because of his connection to Andy Reid, everyone quickly points out that the Chiefs will or should sign him.
Avant was officially released on Tuesday (with a quote from the owner, which doesn't always happen), and people started wondering about Avant and the Chiefs.
Our old pal BJ Kissel had the best one.

He actually does make some sense for the Chiefs, especially if Dexter McCluster walks. We joke about the former Eagle thing but this one doesn't seem like such a long shot.
Eagles release WR Avant. Might the Chiefs and Jets be interested? http://t.co/o65BLsH2D9

I can see the Chiefs picking up Avant. He would be good for them. His blocking will help Jamaal Charles in the run game.

We all new the clock was ticking for Jason Avant, but it's still disappointing to lose a great guy & vocal leader. Chiefs call in 3,2,...

Avant definitely doesn't change the landscape of this WR core, it's still a definite need. But he helps far more than he hurts. #Chiefs

One of my all-time favorites. Start the Chiefs rumors. RT @ProFootballTalk: Eagles release WR Jason Avant, per league source.

Chances Jason Avant ISN'T on the Chiefs roster next season?

Avant makes sense for the Chiefs though, slot replacement for Dex.

"Jason Avant is an ideal option to join Andy Reid with the #Chiefs." -Said Everyone
