KC Chiefs decline to use franchise tag for first time in 3 years

The 2014 NFL franchise tag deadline has come and gone and the KC Chiefs did not use it on Branden Albert, or any other player for the first time in three years.

It's now official: The Kansas City Chiefs did not use their franchise tag for the 2014 season.

As expected.

Here's who did get tagged:

Franchise tag: Panthers DE Greg Hardy, Jets K Nick Folk, Saints TE (or WR?) Jimmy Graham, Redskins LB Brian Orakpo

Transition tag: Browns C Alex Mack, Steelers LB  Jason Worilds

We are now eight days from free agency!
