Abdullah has since announced the news himself on Twitter.
This is a good move for the Chiefs. Abdullah was a valuable special teams contributor and also contributed as a defensive back. He won't be a starter for the Chiefs but he's a good fit for his role.
This marks the first free agent the Chiefs have signed since free agency opened on Tuesday. Earlier this week, the Chiefs re-signed LB Frank Zombo to a new contract. On top of re-signing LS Thomas Gafford, that's three of their own free agents the Chiefs have kept while Branden Albert, Tyson Jackson, Jon Asamoah, Geoff Schwartz and Dexter McCluster all signed elsewhere.
