Kansas City Chiefs fans knew Branden Albert's time in Kansas City was limited once the team drafted Eric Fisher No. 1 overall. What we did not realize was that time was dwindling on Geoff Schwartz and Jon Asamoah, too.
According to multiple reports, neither Schwartz nor Asamoah is expected back in Kansas City, which leaves a gaping hole at right guard.
I’ve said this a few times already but it bears repeating on eve of FA: sources confirm #Chiefs guard Geoff Schwartz will not return to KC.

Source also tell me OG Jon Asamoah will sign with the #Falcons for 4.5 million a year

Terez left no wiggle room on his Schwartz report -- Schwartz is not coming back.
Asamoah's situation isn't confirmed but there are multiple reports tying him to the Falcons or Jets, while there are no reports tying him to the Chiefs. In fact, that report above is already going into the money he will receive in Atlanta.
This means that the Chiefs will likely lose their top two right guards, which means there is now a giant hole at that position. The Chiefs could sign someone in free agency, which would be an annoying reality after they lost two of their own guards in free agency. The loss of both players also increases the possibility of the team drafting an offensive lineman early in the 2014 NFL Draft.
