Things are moving quickly now that the 2014 NFL free agency period is less than 24 hours away. There have been a few changes since we last posted an update on the Kansas City Chiefs 2014 free agents -- the big one being Dexter McCluster is not expected back in Kansas City -- so here goes another round of updates.
Not expected back with the Chiefs
OT Branden Albert: Not only is nearly everyone reporting he's going to the Dolphins, the framework of his contract with Miami is already being leaked.
When the Dolphins announce their deal with T Branden Albert tomorrow, he will end up getting $10M/season. Quite a haul

WR Dexter McCluster: The KC Star's Terez Paylor reported he is not coming back to Kansas City, with 4-5 other suitors in free agency. McCluster will get paid well by someone who has more room to spare than the Chiefs.
Re-signed by the Chiefs
LB Frank Zombo: Reports on Monday state he has re-upped with the Chiefs. No official word yet.
LS Thomas Gafford: He was extended a few weeks ago (yes, that's what she said)
TE Richard Gordon / G Ricky Henry: Both restricted free agents who have been tendered.
Rumored interest from elsewhere
LB Akeem Jordan: It's being reported he has interest from six other teams. The Chiefs do like him and may want to keep him though.
WR Kyle Williams: Interest from five other teams, according to Herbie Teope.
Source tells me Chiefs WR/returner Kyle Williams, scheduled UFA tomorrow, is drawing interest from at least five teams.

G Geoff Schwartz: Today's update to the list of teams reportedly interested in Schwartz is the Rams, who released veteran guard Harvey Dahl. It's looking more and more like Schwartz and Asamoah are gone.
G Jon Asamoah: Reports continue to link him to the Falcons, where former Chiefs GM Scott Pioli now works.
FYI, I also believe it’s highly unlikely Geoff Schwartz and Jon Asamoah return. Like @Jacobs71 said Tuesday might be rough for #Chiefs fans.

No updates
DE Tyson Jackson, S Kendrick Lewis, DB Husain Abdullah and DB Quintin Demps.

Other free agency updates
I’m told the #Chiefs indeed have interest in former Philly WR Jason Avant.

I said over the weekend that the #Chiefs might have interest in Carolina safety Mike Mitchell, but there’s been no movement there, as of now

Sounds like he's going to be cut. RT @RapSheet #Panthers attempting to trade WR Steve Smith. Given $7M cap number& age (34), seems unlikely.

No medical clearance yet for pending free agent Jermichael Finley, who nonetheless figures to take multiple visits (and physicals) this week

Massive DE Red Bryant said today that he was to visit #Packers (Sun) & KC (Mon) before he decided Fri to go with Jax (4 yrs, $17M), Bradley.

Heard yesterday #Seahawks had a chance to retain not only Michael Bennett, but Golden Tate. The latter would actually surprise me more.
