Earlier today we posed this question:
Agree or disagree RT @HisDirknesS I'd trade away the entire Chiefs draft for Johnny Manziel
— Arrowhead Pride (@ArrowheadPride) February 26, 2014
The responses were ... not so nice. Almost everyone said no, with just a few yes's mixed in there.
On 610 Sports this afternoon, Danny Parkins and Carrington Harrison talked about a more realistic scenario (even if it's not actually all that realistic):
If Johnny Manziel falls to No. 23, should the Chiefs take him?
Obvious disclaimer: It would be a complete shock if Johnny Football slipped to the 23rd pick.
I say yes. And I'm not really thinking twice about it. I can list off all the stats and awards but suffice to say I think he has the upside that the Chiefs would make that pick without any question. Since they subscribe to the Ron Wolf style of drafting, this could be their quarterback they take every year.
Reasonable people may disagree. Ron Jaworski seems like a reasonable guy and he says he wouldn't pick Manziel in the first three rounds.
What do you think?
