What are the Kansas City Chiefs top 5 needs right now?

Just like every other NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs have needs heading into next season. They have 17 games from last season to dissect and determine what holes need to be filled. Just like almost every other NFL team, the Chiefs believe they will be a better team than they were the year before.

We've spent a lot of time talking over the past few weeks about the Chiefs and the NFL Draft, and what needs they have entering the 2014 season. Receiver? Yes. Safety? Yes. There are other spots, including defensive end and offensive line.

The Chiefs could fill one or more of those holes in free agency. Last year the Chiefs spent the most money retaining their own players (Dwayne Bowe, Branden Albert, Dustin Colquitt) and added some free agents who would become starters, such as Sean Smith, Mike DeVito and Akeem Jordan.

They probably won't be spending that much money in free agency this year. At least not on new players. I'm sure last year's class will be considered a better free agent class than whoever they sign this year. So don't expect lots of signings, but they will probably make some moves.

Before free agency begins, I want to establish what the Chiefs top needs are. To do this, you should vote in the poll below for your top need right now. You should also give me your top five needs in the comments section below.

Here are my top five needs right now. I feel good about the first two and then the next three will probably rotate regularly with linebacker and guard.
