The 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame class will not include former Kansas City Chiefs guard Will Shields.
We're all disappointed. It's obvious he's a Hall of Famer but given the process he may have to wait. It's frustrating for everyone involved. Who could help Chiefs fans when they're feeling down? Why, Will Shields himself!
"It's a great honor to be on that list,'" Shields said. "Me not getting in doesn't tarnish anything that's been done over the 14 years of my career. It's still a positive thing. It's okay. There's nothing I can do to change it. There are a lot of great guys that have played and had great careers on the field and some of them had great careers off the field. All I can say is I put my best foot forward and did everything I possibly could, on the field and off the field. My goal was to be the best teammate, the best player to always end up in the top-tier of what I did and then everything else falls into place after that."

Thanks KC for your support maybe next year.

Former #Chiefs guard Will Shields made cut from 15 to 10 finalists but couldn't get into final 5. He will next year.

Chiefs go 0 for 3 tonight. Jamaal Charles did not win offensive player of the year award. Peyton Manning did

Will Shields missed out on the Hall of Fame... again. This is honestly highway robbery. How many times can the voters screw this up?

@TheChadInDM @ProFootballHOF Yes, Shields will definitely make it, and soon. Just so many great players.
