The Kansas City Chiefs will be without their starting defensive end and a reserve wide receiver on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced that Allen Bailey and Junior Hemingway will not play in the Chiefs Week 14 game in Arizona this Sunday.
The loss of Bailey is the more notable on here. He is a starter and has done a nice job this season particularly as a pass rusher. The Chiefs have had run defense problems lately though so it's not a good time to lose a starter.
The Chiefs have Jaye Howard, Kevin Vickerson and Vance Walker as linemen who will be called upon to replace Bailey. It'll be nice if we get to see a larger dose of Walker, who was an offseason free agent signing. Bailey also played in the Chiefs nickel defense so they're replacing quite a few snaps.
Those are the only two players that Reid mentioned as out for this game, which means everyone else is probable.
Here's the list of probable players:
G Mike McGlynn (quad)
LB Tamba Hali (knee)
WR Donnie Avery (groin)
TE Anthony Fasano (knee)
RB Jamaal Charles (knee)
P Dustin Colquitt (right calf)
CB Jamell Fleming (hamstring)
LB Dee Ford (quad)
LB James-Michael Johnson (back / knee)
Josh Mauga (back)
CB Chris Owens (knee)
CB Sean Smith (groin)
LB Joe Mays (knee)
