Chiefs' De'Anthony Thomas named AFC special teams player of the week

Let's re-watch why DAT was named the special teams player of the week.

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs' De'Anthony Thomas has been named the AFC special teams player of the week for his performance against the Oakland Raiders in Week 15, including an 81-yard punt return touchdown.

DAT's touchdown was a thing of beauty, showcasing his speed as well as some nice blocks, including one from Junior Hemingway. We've been waiting for DAT to truly break out since he returned a punt 80 yards for the score in the preseason. This is his first regular season touchdown return.

Let's hope this isn't the last touchdown return for DAT this year. The Chiefs sure could use one against Pittsburgh this weekend.
