Jamaal Charles was tested for concussion in Chiefs-Raiders game

Jamaal Charles was cleared to return after being tested for a concussion.

Jamaal Charles was already banged up with knee and ankle injuries. Sunday's game against the Raiders didn't help things.

In addition to the knee and ankle injury, Jamaal was checked for a concussion, which is why he missed snaps in the second half. Knile Davis did his job replacing him with a touchdown rushing and receiving.

Charles said after the game that he went through the concussion protocol and was cleared to return. The Chiefs decision to be cautious was an easy one as Davis scored a touchdown on the drive that Charles went out to make the score 17-6. The way the defense was playing the Chiefs were in firm control of the game (but they went ahead and scored two more touchdowns anyway).

Charles has been on the injury report the past few weeks with knee and ankle injuries. It's getting late in the season so the injuries are starting to take its toll. The Chiefs are facing two more must-win games down the stretch so they'll need Charles as healthy as possible. I wouldn't be surprised to see him miss practice time again this week as he did last. As long as he's healthy enough to play though...
