Kansas City Chiefs make an offensive line change

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Friend of the site Herbie Teope and his keen eye noticed that Jeff Linkenbach was with the first team at left guard in warmups and not Mike McGlynn.

It appears the Chiefs have replaced McGlynn with Linkenbach now that the game has started.

Andy Reid mentioned that McGlynn hasn't been completely healthy lately so perhaps that is a contributing factor.

"First of all Mike's been banged up a little bit," Reid said this week. "So, he's kind of fighting through all of that stuff. He hasn't played as well as he wanted to play, but he's a battler and he gives you that attitude and will fight and do all that stuff. We've got to get him healthy. As much as you can be healthy at this time of the year anyway."

McGlynn was signed a week before the season so anyone who thought he was going to be a Pro Bowler is fooling themselves. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, the Jeff Allen injury put them in a tough spot and they never really recovered from that.
