My how times have changed. The last time the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Oakland Raiders they entered the game at 7-3 and we were legitimately talking about whether a first round bye was feasible. Now after the Chiefs lost to the Raiders on November 20, they are losers of three straight, a 7-6 record and currently on the outside looking in at the AFC playoff picture. The Raiders, meanwhile, have won two of their last three. Their loss was a 52-0 scrubbing at the hands of the St. Louis Rams. Yes, the Raiders are a weird team.
The difference this time around is that the game is at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs are heavy 10-point favorites in the game so they're obviously expected to roll. I do think the Chiefs will win because that last Raider game was so ... weird. That was only the second loss to a bad team under Andy Reid (the other being Tennessee in Week 1). The Chiefs are going to regret that game if they miss the playoffs because Kansas City is so obviously the better team.
The Chiefs need to win out to make the playoffs. That starts on Sunday against the Raiders.
