Chiefs' Jamaal Charles returns to practice after knee, ankle injuries

The KC Chiefs RB is back after a one-day absence from practice.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs saw the return of RB Jamaal Charles to practice on Thursday. Charles, who has knee and ankle injuries stemming from the past few weeks, did not practice on Wednesday. Even though I never thought it was something serious, it's good to see that Charles practiced.

It might be time to get a little concerned about Tamba Hali and Allen Bailey's availability. Hali hasn't practiced in two days. He's a veteran though so I'll hold out hope for him into the weekend. Dee Ford could be taking his spot on passing downs. Meanwhile, Bailey's absence dates back to last week when he missed the Cardinals game.

Two more notables on the injury report. TE Anthony Fasano practiced in limited fashion on Thursday after missing Wednesday. That's a good sign for Fasano, who has seen some of his reps in the last two weeks go to Travis Kelce. Also, CB Phillip Gaines did not practice on Thursday after suffering a concussion on Wednesday. That could put his chances of playing Sunday in jeopardy.

Here is the rest of the Thursday injury report for Raiders week.
