Jamaal Charles' injuries keep him out of Kansas City Chiefs practice

Hopefully this is precautionary for the Chiefs and Jamaal Charles.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

After last Sunday's game Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid noted that star running back Jamaal Charles, who briefly left the game with an injury but returned, was banged up with knee and ankle injuries. Because of those injuries. Charles will not practice on Wednesday, according to Chiefs coach Andy Reid.

Reid said that Charles is day to day with his injuries. He did go through the walk through but will not practice this afternoon. Obviously Jamaal is important enough that there is a level of concern here but it does feel precautionary. We'll have to monitor this as the week goes on.

Also not practicing on Wednesday is tight end Anthony Fasano, linebacker Tamba Hali and defensive end Allen Bailey. Fasano and Hali are both considered day to day with knee injuries, according to Reid. Bailey still needs to pass his concussion test, which caused him to miss last week's game. Vance Walker stepped in for him last week.

In better concussion news, Junior Hemingway has passed his concussion test and will practice.
