The narrative around the 2014 Kansas City Chiefs started early and they've been working to break it ever since. The Chiefs first loss of the season to the Tennessee Titans was miserable and set the tone for the horrible season we knew was coming. NBC's Rodney Harrison said after that first game that the Chiefs were "done" this season.
"Kansas City, they're done," Harrison said in September. "Their very first game."
Many of you thought the same, according to this poll.
I bring this up today because of what Tony Dungy said on NBC's Football Night In America this evening when asked about the headline from the early games.
"It's gotta be the Kansas City Chiefs," Dungy said. "Rodney Harrison buried them when they were 0-2. Since he said they were done they've won six of seven and they're playing red hot football."
Harrison agreed and said you have to give the Chiefs credit because they're a well-coached team.
Remember when the Chiefs season was "done"? Me too. The Chiefs are now 6-3 on the season and firmly in the playoff picture.
