Chiefs' Chris Owens, Phillip Gaines are questionable for Bills game

Updating the Chiefs final injury report for Bills week.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Is this the week we see the return of nickel corner Chris Owens? The Kansas City Chiefs listed him as questionable for Sunday's game. Owens has been out since getting hurt in the Chiefs Week 5 game against the San Francisco 49ers. It's not clear yet if he will be able to play this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

LB Josh Martin and CB Phillip Gaines are questionable. Martin's absence means LB Tamba Hali is playing a few more snaps per game, which may or may not be a good thing for the veteran down the stretch. Gaines has been a full participant in practice all week so I'm assuming he'll be ready to go.

Three Chiefs players have been ruled out of Sunday's game -- WR Donnie Avery, CB Jamell Fleming and LB Jerry Franklin. The Chiefs should be able to get along fine without those players as they have been doing so without Avery for multiple weeks and without Fleming for a couple of weeks.

LB Frank Zombo was listed but for non-injury reasons, according to the Chiefs.
