We have some official roster moves from the Chiefs.
The Chiefs signed former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Nick Williams, which comes after the news that Eric Berry's season is over after a possible lymphoma diagnosis.
Williams, 6'4 and 309 pounds, was a 2013 seventh round pick out of Samford. Considering it's so late in the season I would guess that Williams' signing is more about next year than it is this year. He missed the 2013 season with an injury. The Chiefs are already missing Mike Catapano from the defensive line after his season ended before it started with an illness.
The Chiefs formally placed Eric Berry on the non-football illness list, which means he is out for the season. It also opens up a roster spot, which the Chiefs were able to use on Williams.
The Chiefs also made a couple of practice squad moves. LB Darin Drakeford was placed on practice squad / injured reserve with some sort of injury. LB Ja'Gared Davis out of Southern Methodist takes Drakeford's spot on the practice squad.
