Chiefs S Eric Berry will play; CBs Chris Owens and Jamell Fleming are inactive

The Chiefs inactive players are out.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs announced their seven inactive players for today's game against the New York Jets, and the list looks as we expected it to look.

Inactive vs. Jets: WR Donnie Avery, CB Chris Owens, LB Josh Martin, CB Jamell Fleming, OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, C Eric Kush, QB Aaron Murray.

The biggest news here is that S Eric Berry is not listed. He will play vs. the Jets after missing time since Week 2 due to an ankle injury.

Avery, Owens, Martin and Fleming are all out due to injury, which the Chiefs announced last Friday. WR AJ Jenkins will step in for Avery, CB Phillip Gaines should step in for Owens and CB Marcus Cooper likely starts in place of Fleming. I'll be curious to see how Cooper does with Fleming out. Cooper was benched in place of Fleming just two weeks ago.
