Eric Berry's absence continues for another week. The Kansas City Chiefs have announced their inactives, which includes Eric Berry, meaning he will not play today.

That's obviously disappointing. Berry, who was questionable entering the game, has practiced for the last couple of weeks but still has not played in a game since Week 2. The Chiefs said he had a high ankle sprain, which can take some players as long as six weeks to recover from, so it must have been a fairly severe sprain for Berry. As usual Ron Parker is expected to replace Berry at safety.
Meanwhile, Donnie Avery and Chris Owens were ruled out before the game. Avery had sports hernia surgery a few weeks ago so he's probably out for a while longer. Owens plays the nickel so he will likely be replaced by Phillip Gaines, who had a nice game last week.
