The Kansas City Chiefs continue to check out options for the secondary with word that they'd worked out a veteran cornerback.
#CB Trevin Wade also worked out for the #Chiefs this week.

Trevin Wade came into the NFL as a seventh round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. He was released the following preseason and remained available as a free agent until the New Orleans Saints picked up him halfway through last season. Wade hit the waiver wire once again last month when the Saints cut him loose.
The good news with Wade is that he has a bit of playoff experience with the Saints. Not only did Wade last the rest of the 2013 season with the team, but ended up making appearances in both playoff games for New Orleans.
The Chiefs have found significant playing time for new faces like Jamell Fleming in the last week, so it's hard to tell how the roster will stack up until Bob Sutton and his staff figure out exactly how to employ the players on the roster week to week. Perhaps Wade could add some depth amid injury concerns to Chris Owens.
