If you have yet to play Fanduel, you should give it a shot if you're into fantasy games. You pay anywhere from $1 to hundreds of dollars to participate in a game (prices vary). You're given a salary cap of $60,000 and must pick out your team - QB, RB (2), WR (3), TE, K, D. The average price of a player at the start is $6,667. With the average value of a player in mind, here's a look at the prices this week for Chiefs players.
QB Alex Smith ($7,100): He is the 21st most expensive quarterback. The problem with Smith in a game like Fanduel is that other quarterbacks can put up so much better stats. It's hard to go cheap at quarterback because you know the top guys (Manning, Luck, Rodgers) are going to get theirs. I would stay away from Smith this week even though this could be a somewhat high scoring game depending on how it goes.
RB Jamaal Charles ($8,500): He is the sixth most expensive running back, which actually seems low. At the start of the season he was No. 1 or No. 2 so this represents good value relative to that. This is close to a "must win" type of game for the Chiefs, who want to stay relevant in the division. Coming off two weeks, I can see the Chiefs giving the ball to Jamaal quite a bit. This is a strong play.
RB Knile Davis ($6,200): He has put up nice stats in two of the last three games but he's a wild card with Charles. I would stay away from him this week.
WR Dwayne Bowe ($6,100): He doesn't score enough touchdowns so he's not a good play very often.
TE Travis Kelce ($5,800): The days of getting Kelce on the cheap are over. Fun while it lasted! He is the ninth most expensive tight end, which is still good value. I would recommend rolling with him.
Chiefs defense ($4,900): Philip Rivers is having his best season and the Chiefs historically struggle against elite quarterbacks. Avoid this week.
