The Chargers have the Chiefs number in San Diego

The Chiefs are 0-6 in their last six games in San Diego.

It's unfortunate for the Kansas City Chiefs that the San Diego Chargers are now 5-1 and look like one of the best teams in football. The Chiefs travel to San Diego to play the Chargers on Sunday.

While Andy Reid's overall post-bye week record is encouraging, the Chiefs have won just two of their last 13 games against the Chargers. Even worse, the Chiefs are 0-6 in their last six games in San Diego.

So playing in San Diego is already difficult for the Chiefs, and now they face a Chargers team that has won five straight games with a quarterback, Philip Rivers, who is having arguably his best season. The Chiefs haven't fared well against great quarterbacks under Andy Reid so it's concerning that the Chiefs are facing Rivers, who is completing 69 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns to just two interceptions.

You could point to the Raiders taking the Chargers to the limit on Sunday but we know one game doesn't mean much. The Chiefs almost beat the Broncos and 49ers yet were blown out by the Titans. One game doesn't necessarily mean much.

If you're looking for encouraging signs, look to Week 17 last year when the Chiefs (nearly) beat the Chargers while playing most of their backups.

Take a look at the Chiefs last six games in San Diego below and let us know in the comments what you think of their chances on Sunday.
