News that came out earlier had the KC Chiefs working out a free agent defensive tackle, Sealver Siliga. Turns out he wasn't alone at One Arrowhead Drive. Pro Football Talk reports the Chiefs also worked out former Pittsburgh Steelers draft pick Chris Rainey.
Per league source, former Steelers RB Chris Rainey worked out on Monday for the Chiefs and ran the 40-yard dash in the low 4.3s.

Rainey also confirmed his workout on Twitter.

Per PFT, the Chiefs have decided not to sign him.
Anthony Sherman did not practice on Monday but other than that there aren't any reported injuries to the backs, so this doesn't appear to be an injury thing. Maybe just a "see where he's at" thing in case an injury pops up later.
It was just last year that Rainey was drafted by the Steelers in the fifth round. He lasted just one year, apparently after this incident. In his debut season he ran the ball 26 times for 102 yards and caught 14 passes for 60 yards. He also had 39 kick returns for an average of 26.5 yards.
The Chiefs rushing attack starts and stops with Jamaal Charles. Behind him is Knile Davis and Cyrus Gray but Charles is the focal point but even if Rainey were signed he wouldn't have a big role unless something were to happen to Charles.
