Chiefs-Eagles odds: Andy Reid and KC are 3-point 'dogs in Philly

For the first time this season, the Kansas City Chiefs are underdogs entering a game. The Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

The KC Chiefs travel to Philly to play the Eagles on Thursday Night Football and when they do the Chiefs will be 3-point 'dogs. This according to SB Nation's NFL odds page. The over / under on points scored is a whopping 50.5, which is pretty high for this Chiefs offense.

Steve_in_RI ran down the details on the odds and the over / under in this week's edition of The Opening Line.

Believe it or not, this is the first time this season the Chiefs have been 'dogs. They were 3-point road favorites in Jacksonville and 3-point home favorites against Dallas on Sunday.

Forget the odds and all that stuff. We know this game is all about Andy Reid facing his former team.

"It's not about me," Reid said earlier this week. "It's about our football team, and that's the way it's going to remain over the next few days."

The NFL Network laughs at this. There is a zero percent chance they are going to treat this as just another game. They will hype this up as "Andy Reid vs. Eagles" more than anyone. So will we.

I respect that Andy is trying to keep this about his team. It's the right thing to do on his part.

But we all know that's not true.
