There was an interesting name on today's list of players that have been cut: Bradley McDougald. The KC Chiefs safety has officially been waived by the team, according to the league. The next step for him will be hitting the waiver wire and then if no one claims him he will be eligible to sign with anyone.
The Chiefs haven't announced this move as of yet and sometimes when teams don't announce these things it means they want to bring the player back to the practice squad. (Update: Chiefs just announced it. But I still believe in my theory!) Basically hoping no one else claims him. So keep an eye on that. It's possible McDougald could be back to the practice squad.
The Chiefs cut him once before on cut down weekend before the season and then re-signed him. He was on the game day roster for the Dallas Cowboys game but curiously did not record a snap.
This also means that the Chiefs have a new spot on the 53-man roster.
Who are they signing?
