Questionable: TE Travis Kelce, CB Dunta Robinson
Kelce is still coming back from that knee injury he suffered in the third preseason game. He did not play in the fourth preseason game and, despite being active, did not play in Jacksonville. He was a limited participant in practice on Friday and Wednesday. He did not practice on Thursday. Kelce's status for Week 2 is officially a concern.
Last week TE Sean McGrath, acquired off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks on cut down weekend, filled in as the No. 2 tight end behind Anthony Fasano. He recorded 12 snaps.
Robinson has missed all of practice this week due to personal reasons. I do not know the nature of it. I'm not sure if he will be available to play.
Robinson played a third of the snaps last week so this would be a good chunk of production to replace. Two cornerbacks are on the roster behind Robinson: Ron Parker and Marcus Cooper. Both players were acquired on cut down weekend so they have not been Chiefs very long.
Probable: S Husain Abdullah, RB Jamaal Charles, LB Dezman Moses, OT Donald Stephenson, LB Nico Johnson, G Jon Asamoah
The good news is that Asamoah is back after missing last week's game with a calf injury. Looks like he will play. The great news is that Jamaal is apparently OK. He practiced in full and will play. (New) AP contributor Herbie Teope reported from Arrowhead on Friday and said that when Jamaal was asked if he was 100 percent, the Chiefs RB replied, "I'm ready to play percent." Ha.
The rest of the guys were on the injury report last week and appear ready to go. Nico Johnson did not play last week due to a high ankle sprain so this will be his NFL debut.
