Did not participate: Jamaal Charles
Jamaal Charles has what Andy Reid called a "quad contusion". He injured it in Sunday's game vs. Jacksonville. Jamaal exited the game briefly and then did return for the final play of the third quarter before sitting out the entire fourth quarter. The injury did not seem serious and the Chiefs are not characterizing it as serious.
Nevertheless, Jamaal did not practice on Wednesday. Earlier in the day on Wednesday, before practice, Andy Reid said: "He did the walk through this morning. He might do a little bit this afternoon, but we're just taking it slow. He could be ok for the game; we'll just see how it all works out."
We'll just see how it all works out ... that is the most non-chalant attitude about the most important player on the team. You gotta think Jamaal is going to be just fine for this weekend.
#Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles, who has a quad bruise, said of Cowboys game: "I wouldn't miss this game for nothing."

#Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (quad injury) was in full pads for practice, but he didn't take on the blocking sled.

My level of concern right now: About a 3. Jamaal is Jamaal and we know he's not going to miss this game.
Limited participation: TE Travis Kelce
I am starting to get a little concerned about this. Kelce hurt his knee way back in the third preseason game. He sat out the week of practice leading up to the fourth preseason game as well as the game itself. He was on the injury report for Week 1 but as a participant in practice. He was active for Week 1 but was the only player to not record a snap.

It just seems like for him to go from practicing last week to limited practice this week is a step backwards. The Chiefs, at tight end, can't afford any steps back. Tight end Sean McGrath, just acquired on cut down weekend, logged 12 snaps as the second tight end last Sunday in Jacksonville while Kelce sat.
My level of concern: 6. I don't like this thing going backwards. We'll see though.
Full participation: S Husain Abdullah, LB Dezman Moses, T Donald Stephenson, LB Nico Johnson, G Jon Asamoah
Hooray for Jon Asamoah! He's back! The KC Chiefs guard missed Week 1 with a calf injury. Geoff Schwartz did a nice job filling in (showing off the Chiefs o-line depth) but Asamoah appears primed to return to the lineup.
Abdullah has a foot injury. It popped up last week during practice but he did play in the game, so I would expect him to be ready for Week 2.
Nico Johnson continues to battle his high ankle sprain. If he's a full participant in practice it would appear that he has a shot to play this week. That would be his NFL debut.
Moses has a knee injury and Stephenson has a shoulder injury. Both had these ailments last week and still played.
