Kansas City Chiefs announce stadium, mobile upgrades

Going to Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday? The Chiefs have stepped up their game for you.

The Kansas City Chiefs are aware of the ever-expanding digital age, and they are joining it in a major way.

Announced on Wednesday, the Chiefs are adding a Wi-Fi network to Arrowhead Stadium, Arrowhead Wi-Fi, along with a mobile application, Chiefs mobile.

"We are excited to introduce both our new Arrowhead Wi-Fi and Chiefs Mobile app to fans at our home opener," Chiefs President Mark Donovan said in a statement. "This multi-year process represents a substantial investment that will deliver a fully integrated mobile experience to fans inside of Arrowhead Stadium. This completely redefines the way that Chiefs fans are united with the team and each other."

Inside the stadium, any fan with the app can watch live media of the Chiefs game, including the players walking into Arrowhead, going into the locker room and every play of the action. Also, fans will view instant replays from multiple angles including "under-the-hood" reviews that officials are seeing on the sidelines. NFL Red Zone will also be available to all fans with Chiefs mobile.

As fans, it is time to give it up for the Chiefs. This is really a bang-up job by the organization in continuing to make Arrowhead a first-class venue.
