NFL power rankings, Week 2: KC Chiefs right in the middle of things for Dallas Cowboys week

The Kansas City Chiefs are ranked right around the 17-20 mark in most 2013 NFL power rankings for Week 2. We collected a handful of power rankings from around the web and the Chiefs ranking goes anywhere from 8 (!!) to 26. This huge range in rankings was noticeable in the offseason as well. Read on for a bunch of NFL power rankings.

Playing Jacksonville is not a true test of where the Chiefs are right now but they looked very good anyway. Holding Maurice Jones Drew to 3 yards per carry is a good sign of things to come.

CBS Sports (Pete Prisco): 18
They beat up on a bad Jacksonville team, but it was the way they did it that impressed. That defense was suffocating.

Fox Sports (Brian Billick): 17
Yes, the Chiefs looked impressive in Andy Reid's debut, but let's not forget it was against the Jaguars. They have a tougher game this week against Dallas that will be a more telling litmus test for this team.

It almost doesn't count beating Jacksonville, but hey, 26-point road wins are always a good sign, no matter the competition.

ESPN: 20
Alex Smith was one of five quarterbacks with multiple touchdown passes and no interceptions. No defense had more picks in its opener than Week 2 opponent Dallas (three).

A nice start to the Andy Reid era, but beating Blaine Gabbert and the Jaguars only counts for so much. Let's see what the Chiefs can do with the Cowboys coming to town this week and a trip to Philadelphia the week after that.
