NFL roster cuts: Kansas City Chiefs cut WR Jamar Newsome, down to 75 players

The Kansas City Chiefs needed to make one more cut today to get to the 75-man roster limit and that player was WR Jamar Newsome, who was released on Tuesday morning.

The Kansas City Chiefs roster currently sits at 75 players after the team released WR Jamar Newsome this morning.

Signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011 as an undrafted free agent, Newsome bounced around the Jags, Steelers and Chiefs practice squads before being signed the the active roster in November 2012. The odds were against Newsome to make the 53-man roster but there was a chance he could impress.

Nick Jacobs' latest 53-man roster projection did not include Newsome on it.
