The Kansas City Chiefs have claimed former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Austen Lane off the waiver wire. The Chiefs have the top priority in the waiver wire thanks to that (awful) 2-14 season and Lane was coming from the team with the second priority -- the Jaguars, who waived him this week.
To make room for him the Chiefs release defensive lineman Daniel Muir.
Lane is a former fifth round pick, selected by the Jaguars in the 2010 NFL Draft. He started 16 games and had three sacks in his time. He is listed at 6'6 and weighs 267 pounds.
After he was cut last week, Lane posted this to Jaguars fans on Twitter:
To my fans and everyone that supported me!.... pic.twitter.com/hYJD3avxqq
